Lecture Note Of Caravaggio

Today I will talk about Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, life and art peices, Caravaggio born 29 September 1571 in Milan, Italy. In 1592 at the age of 21 he moved to Rome as rome knows the city of italy's artistic centre, and in his first years he struggle with classical building and famous works of art. Also, he specialised in still lifes of fruits and flowers, and later, half length figures (as in 'The Boy bitten by a Lizard') which he sold on the street.

An effeminate youth recoils in pain as he is bitten by a lizard, and clings to his finger, and there is still life of fruit with rose and spring of jasmine in a glass vase. Looking closely and we could see the reflaction of room in the curved surface of the vase.The painting may have a figurative meaning, and possibly refers to the pain of love.

This picture is from his earliest of his three Caravaggio and was probably painted in rome in the mid of 1590S.

The Cardsharps

The story of this picture was a crime scene of Cardsharps, caravaggio create some trickery picture.

The cast was minimal, two cheats and one dupe. the plot is basic but short. One of the cheat play with the boy, and another one look to the boy cards, and give him a sign to take the card from his belt.

It is a trickery paint from a scenario borrowed from the comic stage, where looks are sneaked, things happen behind backs, and all before our eyes.
