Demographics of Leicester

Today I am going to talk about my residential building, that will be in Leicester City in united kingdom

and, I will include the demographic of this city.

There are many ethnic communities in Leicester. The Whites are the majority ethnicity in the city with 50.6 percent of the overall population. There are different categories of white people in the city, based on their origin: 45.1% are British whites, 0.8% are Irish whites, and 4.6% are white people from other countries. Other ethnic groupings include African Americans (6,3 percent), Asians (37,1 percent), and Arabs (1,6 percent) (1.6 percent).

In contrast to religious activity in other parts of the world, Leicester's religious characteristics are limited. Christians account for 32.4 percent of the city's population, while Muslims and Hindus each account for 18.6 percent and 15.2 percent, respectively. Other religions include Sikhs (4.4%), Buddhists (0.4%), and Jews (0.1 percent).

72.47 percent of the population in Leicester can speak and comprehend the English language. Gujarati is the second most spoken language in the city, with 11.54 percent of the people being able to communicate in it. Other languages are Punjabi (2.4 percent), Polish (1.97 percent), Urdu (1.07 percent), Somali (1.06 percent), Arabic (0.8 percent), Bengali (0.57 percent) etc.
